Retailer Migros Group Sells Mibelle to Persán

The Spanish family-run company Persán, a pioneer in personal and home care, has acquired the Swiss company Mibelle Group from Migros. In Persán, Migros has found a partner for Mibelle Group, which will continue its path of international growth.WHO: Migros has owned Mibelle since 1960 when Mibelle AG was established, with the cosmetics factory starting operations in 1962. Mibelle Biochemistry, a globally successful company, offers the most modern and effective active ingredients for the cosmetics industry. Mibelle Group employs around 1,600 people and has production sites in Switzerland, France, Great Britain, and the USA. The company also has sales outlets in the Netherlands and Australia.Migros was founded in 1925 and has grown into Switzerland's largest retail company and private employer. Migros Group owns numerous businesses that cover different areas, such as industrial enterprises, a wide range of retail, travel, and logistics companies, a bank, and several foundations.Headquartered in Seville, Spain, Persán is a multinational company with a family company DNA. Persán specializes in home care and personal care products, including detergents, fabric softeners, and other cleaning products. It was founded in 1941 and has three manufacturing plants located in Seville (Spain), Wróblowice (Poland), and Saint-Vulbas (France), employing more than 2,000 people.WHY: The acquisition of Mibelle Group is a historic milestone in Persán's international expansion. This transaction makes Persán one of the world's largest players in the private-label and contract manufacturing sector.
